A delegation of purchasers will be invited, presentations of Dutch companies will be organised and Dutch speakers will give their expertise with the framework of the exhibition’s conference programme.

SIVAL is notably partnering with the agriculture department of the Dutch Embassy.

Focus

The Netherlands are well known for their horticulture, both for food as for flowers.  The world we live in is facing many challenges as the next generation of the global population should grow by more than two billion people.
Today, 800 million people suffer from chronic hunger or are deprived of a good nutrition.
We must thus produce more food than ever before. Furthermore, the environmental sustainability of our horticultural production is still of utmost importance. Agriculture and horticulture use finite raw materials; they play a significant role in climate change and loss of biodiversity. In such a situation, we must pay a great attention to the development of resilient and solid production systems that continually work in favour of environmental sustainability and energy efficiency as well as for the reduction of CO2 emissions.
