For some years now, two so-called “emerging” pests have been causing substantial economic losses to fruit and vegetables growers in Pays-de-la-Loire. Drosophila suzukii on strawberries and leaf miners, out of which Phytomyza gymnostoma, on leeks. The objective of the 3-year REPROLEG project, developed by ARELPAL, was to know increase knowledge about these two pests, to mitigate their damage, to avoid yield losses and to ensure a high enough revenue so as to allow continuation of business. This lecture will look at the project actions and results obtained.
