Butternut ORIONIT F1 is a new butternut variety developed with Intermediate resistance to Didymella bryoniae. This pathogen has only been present on French soil for a few years, and brown concentric spots appear on the fruit during cultivation or storage, causing first-class yield losses. Thanks to its intermediate resistance to this fungus, ORIONIT F1 guarantees growers a healthy, high-quality product. In addition to its intermediate resistance to "Didymella bryoniae", the variety has a targeted fresh market size and high uniformity. Recommended for planting from mid-March to mid-May, ORIONIT F1 develops a runny, very vigorous plant. It ranks among the late varieties. Its fruits are uniform, with a size ranging from 1.2 to 1.7 kg, perfect for the fresh market! The skin is copper-brown and the sweet flesh is very dense with a deep orange color. The seed cavity is small.
