VEGEPOLYS VALLEY Symposium
"What potential does digital technology have for the agro-ecological transition?" - Perspectives and practical examples from France and Europe
Digital solutions already have a strong presence on farms: for farm management, for monitoring weather and crop conditions, for carrying out field operations using self-guidance or other precision equipment...
Agroecology is agriculture that uses a holistic approach, drawing on the functionalities offered by ecosystems, to produce food differently, increasing ecological and social benefits. How can the use of digital tools help producers to support or even accelerate their transition to more agroecology?
This symposium, in collaboration with the Path2DEA project, aims to take stock of the role that digital technology can play in the agro-ecological transition, using examples from France and various current European projects. It will enable producers and agricultural advisors to draw inspiration from examples and feedback to move towards more agro-ecology by integrating the possibilities offered by digital tools.
