Tellia: Transforming voice notes into a field notebook
In vineyards, orchards, and vegetable farms, the most valuable information is often lost between the field and the office. A disease spotted at the end of a row, a treatment noted from memory the night before, a WhatsApp message buried in a phone: field teams have neither the time nor the free hands to fill out forms.
Tellia is based on this reality. Founded by Coline Labadie and Vincent Trastour, the platform allows field teams to record their observations as they already do on a daily basis: by phone call, voice note, WhatsApp message, or photo, in their own language. Tellia operates in French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, and Arabic. Its AI then transforms these exchanges into structured data (plot, date, observation, intervention) that the entire farm can search, view, and share.
In practice, a crop manager describes their observations in a few seconds. A seasonal worker sends a photo along with a voice message in their language. In the evening, the operations manager can access all the information, categorized in French, without any re-entry. The voice-recorded observations also feed into the reports required for traceability and compliance. The mobile application works offline: notes entered without a network connection are automatically synchronized as soon as the connection is restored.
Tellia is already deployed on over 400,000 hectares. Its users include producers, agricultural advisors, cooperatives, and agricultural businesses in Europe, the United States, and Latin America, notably the French Wine and Vine Institute (IFV), the Val de Gascogne cooperative, and the seed company KWS. On average, users save more than four hours per week on administrative tasks.
In September 2026, Tellia announced a $5 million funding round to further develop its voice AI capabilities and connect field data to other tools already used by farms.
At SIVAL 2027, visitors will be able to test Tellia live: dictate an observation and watch it instantly transform into structured data.
