SIVAL, the flagship event supported by Destination Angers, which has ISO 20121 certification, is part of a sustainable development approach. As an organizer and host of events for professionals and the general public, Destination Angers is committed on a daily basis to a policy of responsible management of its activities. This commitment is fully in line with our region's policy of ecological transition, our positioning as a "Ville Nature" (City of Nature) and with a view to continuous improvement.

Waste
1 - Improving event-related waste management
- Installation of permanent signage on the 2 sorting units based on 10 flows to avoid errors.
- Distribution of a specific "waste sorting" information note to exhibitors.
- A green brigade was deployed over the 3 days of the show to raise visitors' awareness of the new yellow sorting system and the sorting of bio-waste at catering outlets.
- Raising awareness among catering professionals.
2 - Reduce the amount of waste generated by the installation and staging of the event
- Carpet reduction: - 7% compared with 2022 by reducing the number of central aisle lanes.
- Verification of the existence of a sector carpet recycling facility with our service provider.
- Elimination of plastic bottles, replaced by glass bottles and glasses.
- Reduction in scratch cotton: - 5% compared with 2022.
3 - Increase the proportion of sorted/reused/recycled waste generated before and during operations
- Year-round collection and processing of cigarette butts.
- Sorting biowaste from source to skip.
- Installation of 6 mini sorting units during set-up and dismantling, and distribution of yellow garbage can bags to exhibitors.
- Introduction of bi-flow sorting for visitors.
